Adding Extra to Ordinary
Serve the Lord with gladness and delight; come before His presence with joyful singing.
Psalm 100:2
Stop resisting what’s in front of you and start embracing the opportunity within it. Even the most ordinary tasks can be filled with purpose when they’re done with the right heart. Let go of the frustration, the wishing, the what-ifs—and step boldly into what is, with gratitude and grace. You don’t need a perfect situation to make a powerful impact. Right here, with what you have, God can do something meaningful. You were created to add value, to reflect light, and to move forward—not with dread, but with joyful determination. Every responsibility is an invitation—not a burden, but a chance to worship God with your effort, your attitude, and your excellence. Do what you do with love. Approach every task—big or small—with joy, because it matters. Your effort isn’t just productivity—it’s a reflection of your purpose. Feel the satisfaction of doing it well. Let each completed task remind you that God is using even the ordinary to shape the extraordinary.
Prayer
Father in heaven, forgive us for grumbling about the very things we once prayed for. Work is a gift—even the hard stuff, even the boring stuff. Today, we won’t just get through it. We’ll show up with a willing heart and do it with joy. Let our attitude preach louder than our words. Let our effort reflect our love for You. When we get tired, strengthen us. When the task feels small, remind us it still matters. We’re not working for applause—we’re working for You. In Jesus name, AMEN!
Work becomes worship when you dedicate it to God and perform it with an awareness of His presence.
