Step Back

Step back from the noise and the urgent pressures of the moment. Breathe. Get perspective. And remind yourself how good life can be because every good thing you have flows from the hand of God. Many of the “problems” you face today would have been counted as blessings by those who came before you. Pause and thank Him for what you have, and then consider how you can use it for something that honors Him. You have the ability to make a difference not just for yourself, but for the Kingdom. And though the work may be challenging, it’s worth it, because effort invested in God’s purposes is never wasted. Don’t take your gifts, opportunities, and resources for granted. Steward them well. Ask, Lord, how can I make life richer, more beautiful, and more meaningful with what You’ve placed in my hands? Step back, look around, and see the opportunity wrapped inside this very moment. Then step forward with faith because life is always good when you walk it with the Giver of Life.
