One of Life's Greatest Gift
But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is being perfected in [your] weakness.’ Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may completely enfold me and may dwell in me.
2 Corinthians 12:9
One of life’s greatest gifts is that life is difficult. As strange as it sounds, those difficulties become the very soil where growth takes root. In working through the hard things, you gain priceless skills and deep resilience. Every challenge you face is an invitation to trust God more fully. The strength you gain from carrying burdens, the wisdom you gain from painful lessons, and the humility you gain from falling and rising again all of these are gifts in disguise. It is precisely because life is difficult that you can discover the greatness of God working in and through you. The struggles give you an opportunity to rise above, to matter, and to make a difference. They shape you into someone capable of living out your deepest, God-given purposes. Like weights in the gym, life’s difficulties provide the resistance that strengthens your faith and your “life muscles.” Though it hurts to push through, the growth is undeniable, and the fruit is lasting. As James reminds us, the testing of our faith produces endurance, and endurance matures us into people who lack nothing. Don’t run from the struggle embrace it. Don’t despise the difficulty work through it.
Prayer
Father in heaven, we thank You even for the difficulties of life. Where our strength falls short, let Your power rise within us. Teach us to see trials not as walls but as stepping-stones, shaping us into who You’ve called us to be. Give us endurance when we want to quit, hope when we feel weary, and faith to trust that You are using every challenge for our good. May we grow stronger, wiser, and more like Christ through every struggle we face. In Jesus name, AMEN!
Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny.
