Here and Now
My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.
2 Corinthians 12:9
Life is not lived in some far-off, perfect “someday.” It is lived here and now, in the middle of the reality you face today. Yes, it’s good to pursue an ideal, but the only way to get there is by working faithfully with the life you’ve been given in this moment. That’s part of what makes life meaningful. Imperfections don’t cancel the beauty of life they highlight it. Setbacks don’t erase hope they point you toward new ways forward. Difficulties are not signals to quit but rather opportunities that sharpen your character, deepen your faith, and lead you toward growth. If everything were already perfect, there would be no need for perseverance, no reason to grow stronger, no joy in making a difference. But because life is real and sometimes hard, every act of faith, love, and courage matters more. Embrace life as it is its ups, downs, victories, and valleys. Right here in the “not yet perfect,” God invites you to trust Him, to shine His light, and to create something truly outstanding.
Prayer
Father in Heaven, we come with thankful hearts for the life You’ve given us—right here and right now. Forgive us for waiting until things feel perfect before stepping forward. Teach us to see Your grace in the imperfections and Your strength in the challenges. Help us live with courage, work with joy, and shine Your love in real life. Use even our weaknesses to display Your power, and let us walk each day with hope and purpose. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Do not wait for extraordinary circumstances to do good action; try to use ordinary situations.
