Ruts
Brothers and sisters, I do not consider that I have made it my own yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the [heavenly] prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:13–14
You don’t have to continue doing things the way you’ve always done them. Today is a new day, filled with new possibilities, so remember to treat it as such. You don’t have to be held prisoner by your old, familiar habits and assumptions. There’s a whole world of goodness and abundance beyond what you already know, so get out there and experience some of it. Does it seem like you’ve run out of energy and enthusiasm? Maybe you’re just tired of the same old things. Does it feel like you’re stuck? If you’re just living on autopilot, then you are indeed stuck. Take the helm of your life and steer it in some new, exciting, fulfilling, and energizing directions. Discover again and again how adaptable, creative, and joyful you can be. God has wired you for growth, and that means you are never truly stuck you’re always one step of obedience away from something new. The world is a never-ending source of beauty and wonder, a gift from God waiting to be explored. Don’t settle for less than what He’s placed before you. Climb up out of your self-imposed rut, lean into His leading, and live in the richness of the life He’s giving you today.
Prayer
Father in Heaven, thank You for the gift of a brand-new day and a fresh start. We don’t want to just go through the motions—we want to see the new things You’re doing. Keep us from being stuck in old habits or weighed down by the past. Give us courage to step into what’s next with joy, faith, and expectation. We’re grateful, we’re ready, and we’re walking with You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Don’t just live on autopilot—God made you for adventure.
