That Was Unexpected

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 3:5–6

Something unexpected will happen today, and tomorrow, and every day. You can spend your energy worrying about it, or you can deal with it in a positive way. Life’s uncertainty isn’t something to run from it’s what makes life rich. True, it can bring pain and disruption, but it can also bring deep joy, growth, and opportunities you could never have planned for yourself. The good news is, you don’t face those uncertainties empty-handed. God has given you resilience, wisdom, and the ability to adapt. With His Spirit guiding you, you can meet challenges with courage, learn from the twists and turns, and even discover blessings hidden in the unexpected. You may not know what tomorrow holds, but you do know Who holds tomorrow. That is the anchor that allows you to walk boldly into uncertainty, not with fear, but with anticipation of how God will show up in it. Don’t fret when life doesn’t go according to plan. Instead, see each surprise as an invitation to lean more fully on God, trust Him deeper, and uncover new opportunities to live out His purpose for your life.

Prayer

Father in Heaven, we admit that uncertainty rattles us. We like control, but life rarely works that way. Teach us to release fear and grab hold of faith. When the unexpected comes, help us see not just the problem but the possibility. Remind us that You’re already in tomorrow, and nothing surprises You. Fill us with peace, joy, and trust as we lean on You with every step. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

When you can’t predict tomorrow, trust the One who already sees it.
