Stress Not

Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid.

John 14:27

A lot of what stresses us out isn’t actually the situation itself it’s how we decide to respond. Stress sneaks in when we let challenges take over our thoughts, but the truth is, we get to choose a better way. Life is always going to throw us tough stuff. But instead of letting it weigh us down, we can decide to see those moments as chances to grow stronger. Even when people or situations are frustrating, we can still keep our peace and move forward with purpose. God doesn’t leave us to handle it all on our own. He offers us His peace a peace that’s deeper than circumstances and stronger than stress. When others lose it, we can be steady. When things feel overwhelming, we can breathe, pray, and keep going. Stress doesn’t get the final word. With God’s help, we can choose peace, live with calm confidence, and even show others what it looks like to walk through difficulties without being defined by them.

Prayer

Father in Heaven, we admit that stress too often gets the better of us. But today we choose a different response. Instead of worry, we ask for Your wisdom. Instead of panic, grant us peace. Remind us that You are steady when life feels shaky, and with You we can breathe deep and move forward calmly. Let Your peace flow through us and flow into the lives of those around us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Stress whispers chaos—faith speaks peace.
