Fix Your Eyes

And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.

Romans 8:28

Life will disappoint you, sometimes in small ways, sometimes in big ones. But disappointment doesn’t have to define you or derail you. The key to moving forward isn’t sitting in self-pity, blame, or resentment. It’s choosing to take meaningful action. God can use even your disappointments as fuel to strengthen your faith and refine your focus. When you acknowledge the pain but keep moving with purpose, you discover new opportunities hidden in the moment. Each setback can be a setup for growth if you let Him guide your response. Disappointment is part of life, but it doesn’t have to weigh you down for long. Instead of looking back with regret, fix your eyes on the present possibilities and the God who redeems them. Every letdown can become a launching pad when you choose to trust Him and step forward in faith.

Prayer

Father in Heaven, forgive us for squinting at the storm instead of fixing our eyes on You. Today we’re done tripping over yesterday’s letdowns. Help us to fix our gaze forward on Your purpose, instead of our pity. Help us to see every setback as fuel, every stumble as training, every “no” as a setup for Your bigger “yes.” Build in us grit, grace, and guts to run our race without looking back. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Disappointment is not the end, it’s the beginning of a new direction.
