Able to Choose

A negative reaction to a negative situation will never make things better, it only adds fuel to the fire. Envy won’t bring you what you long for, and resentment won’t set anything right. God calls us to a different way: instead of reacting in anger or revenge, choose to respond in faith, hope, and love. Even when the situation doesn’t “deserve” a positive response, you deserve a positive life anchored in Christ. The past is unchangeable, but the future is wide open. You can’t undo what’s been done, but you can decide how to move forward. When you respond with grace instead of anger, and hope instead of bitterness, you not only lift the moment higher, you lift your own heart too. Your power is in your choice. Choose to bring light into the darkness, peace into the chaos, and hope into disappointment. It’s always the response that honors God, and the one that frees you.
