Stop and Remember
I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse; therefore you shall choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants.
Deuteronomy 30:19
When self-pity whispers, stop and remind yourself, it won’t bring anything worth keeping. When fear tells you to run, turn around and face the problem. Strength grows not by avoiding life’s challenges, but by walking through them with courage and faith. Discipline and focus aren’t as complicated as they seem, it’s really about choosing the better way, moment by moment. And with God’s Spirit living in you, you have the strength to choose well. Every choice you make shapes the life you live. You are fully capable, in Christ, of building a life that’s purposeful, joyful, and fulfilling. The key is simple: keep choosing what honors Him, again and again.
Prayer
Father in Heaven, forgive us for the times we’ve chosen self-pity, fear, or laziness. Remind us that every choice matters and every moment counts. Give us courage to face challenges, discipline to stay faithful, and joy to keep choosing life in You. May our lives reflect the best of what You’ve placed in us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Progress begins the moment you stop looking back.
