Joy

You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; in Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.

Psalm 16:11

Joy is not something you stumble upon when life finally lines up the way you want, it’s a choice you make in the middle of whatever life hands you. Circumstances change, but God’s goodness never does. When you anchor your heart in Him, joy stops being fragile and starts being steady. Worrying about tomorrow only steals today’s strength. Resentment over the past only clouds today’s opportunities. Joy, however, clears the lens and lets you see the beauty and purpose God has already placed around you. Joy doesn’t ignore reality—it transforms how you walk through it. Whether you’re in a season of plenty or a season of stretching, you can choose joy because you know the Giver of joy is with you. Each moment is an opportunity to step into that choice and to shine His light for others to see.

Prayer

Father in Heaven, thank You that joy is not fragile or fleeting, it’s found in You. Forgive us for the times we’ve let fear, envy, or worry steal our joy. Today we choose differently. Teach us to anchor our joy in Your presence, not in circumstances. Fill us with gladness that overflows into gratitude, love, and courage. Let our joy be a testimony of Your goodness, and may it strengthen us for every task ahead. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Happiness depends on circumstances; joy depends on choice.
