Silent Wonder
But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

The night was ordinary, yet Heaven broke into it. On a quiet hillside, shepherds kept watch, unaware that the Savior of the world had just taken His first breath.
He didn’t choose a stage, He chose a stable. The Savior’s entrance didn’t echo through palace halls, it rustled through straw. No headlines, just love small enough to fit in human arms, yet strong enough to hold the world. While the world rushes, He whispers. While people search for power, He reveals peace. Christmas Eve is a moment to pause and remember that light came near. Emmanuel God with us entered our story not with force, but with love. He did not wait for us to reach for Him; He came reaching for us. Tonight, before the wrapping paper and the plans, let your heart grow still. Let wonder return. Let gratitude rise. Because in one miraculous night, eternity stepped into time. And that changes everything.
Prayer
Father in Heaven, thank You for this holy night and the stillness that reminds us of Your love. When the world feels loud, help us lean into the quiet where You draw near. You came not to impress but to redeem, not to conquer but to comfort.
Let the miracle of that manger still move us. Fill our hearts with peace that outlasts the season, and joy that cannot be wrapped, sold, or stolen. Jesus, You are the greatest gift we could ever receive. We pause, we breathe, and we adore You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Peace is not found under the tree, it’s found in the Savior who hung on one.
