Faith for What’s Next
Forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the heavenly prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:13–14
Another year has come and gone. The pages behind you are filled with moments some beautiful, some broken, all meaningful. Every victory, every challenge, every quiet in-between moment has shaped you more than you realize.
And through it all, God has been faithful. New Year’s Eve is not just about counting down time. It is about looking back with gratitude and looking forward with trust. You do not have to carry every unfinished plan or unanswered question into tomorrow. You can leave them in God’s hands and walk into the new year lighter, freer, and ready for what He will do next. The same God who guided you this far is not done writing your story. He is already in your next chapter, preparing new mercy for your mornings, fresh strength for your steps, and unexpected grace for your growth. Take one last look back not with regret, but with gratitude. Then lift your eyes forward, not with fear, but with faith.
Tomorrow is waiting, and God is already there.
Prayer
Father in Heaven, thank You for walking with us through every mile of this year.
For the days that broke us and the days that built us, You were there. As we stand on the edge of a new year, we release what we cannot fix and hold tight to what You have promised. Write new chapters with old grace and fresh faith. Let our hearts stay soft, our hands stay open, and our eyes stay on You. Whatever comes next, we step into it trusting that You are already there. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
The calendar changes, but His goodness does not.
