Choose What Matters

Turn my eyes away from vanity [all those worldly, meaningless things that distract let Your priorities be mine], and restore me [with renewed energy] in Your ways.

Psalm 119:37

Life offers endless distractions interesting, entertaining, even harmless at times, but none of them can build the life God designed you to live. Meaningless diversions can steal huge pieces of your time without giving anything back. When what you’re doing isn’t helping you grow, bless others, or honor God, it’s a sign to shift your focus. Your time is too valuable and your purpose too important to waste on what leaves you empty. You are worthy of a life filled with beauty, joy, creativity, and meaning so choose what leads you there. Stay curious about the goodness around you, but stay anchored in purpose. Choose moments that matter. Create value that lasts. Build days, months, and years you’ll be grateful you lived. God has placed amazing opportunities in front of you, take them, shape them, and use them well. Life is already a gift; make it even richer by choosing what matters most.

Prayer

Father in Heaven, meet us right here and help us see where our time is slipping away into things that don’t matter; give us the wisdom to step back from distractions, the courage to choose what brings life, and the focus to use our moments well, and shape our hearts so that we seek meaning over mindless comfort and choose habits that honor You, bless others, and strengthen our own souls; guide our steps into the kind of days and decisions that create a rich, purposeful life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Value your time, and your life will show it.
