The Gift of Limited Time
He who gathers in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a son who brings shame.
Proverbs 10:5
Your time is limited, and that is not a disadvantage, it is a gift. Because your hours are finite, each moment carries weight and meaning. Limitation invites intention. When you stop wishing for more time and begin honoring the time you have, something powerful shifts. Appreciation sharpens focus. Focus multiplies impact. Anything that is scarce becomes precious, and when you treat your time as precious, you naturally begin to use it more wisely. You do not need unlimited resources to move toward meaningful goals. You need clarity, purpose, and willingness. Though your time and resources have boundaries, your creativity and resourcefulness do not. God has given you life itself, along with the ability to steward it well. Dream boldly. Start honestly. Use what you have. When what matters most is clear, you will always find a way forward.
Prayer
Father in Heaven, help us see our time as the precious gift it truly is. Teach us to use each moment with wisdom, intention, and gratitude instead of wishing it away. Sharpen our focus on what matters most, strengthen our resolve to act faithfully with what You’ve given us, and guide us to live fully and purposefully in every season of life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Scarcity sharpens purpose.
