Faithful Over Time
The end of a matter is better than its beginning; patience of spirit is better than haughtiness of spirit [the pride of impatience].
Ecclesiastes 7:8
Achievement takes time. God invites you to expect growth and to work toward it, but not to demand that it happen quickly or easily. What forms overnight often fades just as fast, but what is built with patience, persistence, and faith becomes strong and lasting. Real value is created through steady effort, repeated obedience, and daily faithfulness. There are depths of strength, wisdom, and fulfillment that can only be discovered through time spent moving forward step by step. The reward is not only found at the finish line; it is woven into the journey itself. Every challenge you face becomes a pathway forward, shaping your character and sharpening your ability to do good. As you walk through each season, you are becoming someone stronger, wiser, and more capable than before. Learn to enjoy the process. When you value each step along the way, God enables you to take journeys that truly change your life.
Prayer
Father in Heaven, teach us to value steady progress over quick results. Strengthen our hearts to remain faithful when growth feels slow, and effort feels heavy. Help us trust that You are working through every step, challenge, and season, shaping us as we move forward with patience, purpose, and perseverance. Teach us to enjoy the journey as You lead us toward the good You are building over time. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
What takes time to build is strong enough to last.
