What You Do Next
For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].
Ephesians 2:10
Your past may inform you, but it does not have permission to define you. In Christ, your identity is anchored in redemption, not regret. What matters most is not who you were, but who you are becoming under God’s direction. The only true barrier to growth is the refusal to step toward what God is calling you into next. Progress is rarely effortless, yet it is always possible when we trust the One who makes all things new. We cannot erase former obligations or past mistakes, but we can honor them by living with greater integrity and purpose today. Each new day is evidence of grace. You are alive, capable, and entrusted with opportunity. What defines this season is not what happened before, it is how faithfully you respond now. What you do next matters.
Prayer
Father in Heaven, thank You that our past does not define our future in You. Help us release regret and step forward with courage. Renew our confidence in who You say we are and give us strength to honor today’s opportunities with faithfulness and purpose. Guide what we do next, and let it reflect Your grace at work in us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
