Growth
But He has said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.’ Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me. So I am well pleased with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, and with difficulties, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak [in human strength], then I am strong [truly able, truly powerful, truly drawing from God’s strength].

Weakness is not something to hide from; it is something to steward. Scripture never pretends we are strong in every area. In fact, it reminds us that growth often begins with humility. Strengths can carry us forward, but weaknesses can transform us if we are willing to face them honestly. When we admit what we lack skill, knowledge, patience, discipline we create space for God to refine us. Weakness becomes dangerous only when it becomes an excuse. But when it becomes a teacher, it becomes a pathway. God does not call us to perfection; He calls us to progress. As we do the steady work of learning, practicing, and trusting Him, what once held us back can become the very area that strengthens our character. Growth requires courage, but it also releases momentum. With God’s help, weakness can become formation.
Prayer
Father in Heaven, give us the humility to admit where we need to grow. Keep us from hiding behind excuses and help us see weakness as an invitation to trust You more. Strengthen us as we learn, practice, and develop. Complete the good work You’ve started in us and shape our weaknesses into testimonies of Your grace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
