Usefulness
Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose].
1 Corinthians 15:58
Your value is not diminished by age, fatigue, finances, or circumstance. God does not measure usefulness the way the world does. He measures faithfulness. The truth is simple: you are uniquely positioned to contribute something no one else can offer in quite the same way. Comparison distracts. Excuses delay. But obedience activates purpose. When we stop rehearsing what feels unfair and instead step into what is possible, momentum begins. You have experienced the satisfaction that comes from meaningful contribution before. That sense of fulfillment is not accidental, it is evidence of design. God created you intentionally, placed you strategically, and entrusted you with influence. Life is richer when we engage it. There are many capable people in this world, but no one else has been assigned your role. Faithfulness in your lane matters deeply.
Prayer
Father in Heaven, remind us that we are placed here on purpose. Guard us from comparison and excuses and strengthen us to do the good works You have prepared for us. Renew our confidence, steady our discipline, and help us serve faithfully right where we are. Let our efforts reflect Your design and bring You honor. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Excuses shrink; obedience expands.
