God Is Working in You
For it is not your strength but it is God who is effectively at work in you both to will and to work that is strengthening energizing and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose for His good pleasure.
Philippians 2:13
You are not growing alone. God is actively working within you. Even your desire to change, to become more patient, more disciplined, more loving, is evidence of His work. Spiritual growth is not self improvement. It is cooperation with what God is already doing. This brings both humility and confidence. You do not take credit for progress because it is His power. You do not lose hope in weakness because He is still working. In practical terms: When you feel prompted to do what is right, respond to it. When you recognize an area that needs growth, invite His help. When you take a step forward, thank Him for the strength to do it.
You are a work in progress, and that is exactly where God meets you.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for working in me even when I do not see immediate change. Give me the willingness to follow the desires You place in my heart and the strength to act on them. Help me to cooperate with Your work and to trust that You are forming my life according to Your purpose. In Jesus name AMEN!
God’s work in you is the reason you can keep moving forward.
