Calm in Pressure

He will not fear bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting [confidently relying on and believing] in the Lord.

Psalm 112:7

Pressure reveals where your trust is placed. Calmness is not the absence of difficulty. It is the result of a settled heart. When you decide in advance that you will trust God with outcomes, you are able to respond instead of react. You cannot control every situation, but you can control your response. You live with calm strength when: You slow your breathing before answering. You refuse to let urgency set your tone. You separate facts from fearful assumptions. You remind yourself that God is already present. This kind of steadiness influences everyone around you. It brings clarity into confusion and peace into tension.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, give me a steady heart in moments of pressure. Help me to respond with trust instead of reacting in fear. Let my confidence be in Your presence and not in changing circumstances. In Jesus name AMEN!

A steady heart creates a steady life.
