Patience with Growth
Bearing graciously with one another, and willingly forgiving each other if one has a cause for complaint against another; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so should you forgive.
Colossians 3:13
Everyone around you is in process. The same patience God shows toward you is the patience you are called to extend to others. Growth takes time. Maturity develops through repeated experiences. When you expect instant change in people you create frustration for yourself and pressure for them. You cannot control another person’s pace of growth, but you can control your response to it. You practice patient grace when: You allow room for learning. You refuse to rehearse offenses. You remember your own journey. You continue to treat people with respect.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, give me patience with the people around me. Help me to extend the same grace You have given to me. Remove irritation and replace it with understanding and kindness. Let my relationships reflect Your mercy. In Jesus name AMEN!
Patience gives people room to grow.
