Growth That Stays
I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return].
Philippians 1:6
Growth is not just something God starts. It is something you respond to. He is faithful to continue the work, but you are invited to participate in it daily. Spiritual growth does not come from intention alone. It comes from attention. It comes from choosing to stay soft when correction comes, choosing to stay steady when progress feels slow, and choosing to keep showing up when no one sees immediate results. In very practical terms this means: You respond quickly when God nudges your heart instead of delaying obedience. You build small daily rhythms that keep you connected to Him instead of relying on occasional moments. You allow discomfort to shape you instead of resisting it. You measure progress by faithfulness instead of feelings. God is not rushing your growth, but He is always working on it. When you cooperate with Him, what He starts becomes something that lasts.
Prayer
Father in Heaven, thank You for the work You have begun in us. When growth feels slow, steady our hearts. When correction comes, keep us soft. Teach us to lean into what You are forming instead of pulling away from it. Build in us a quiet faithfulness that shows up daily, not just when it is easy. Shape our lives into something lasting, something rooted, something that reflects You. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!
Growth deepens when you stay responsive in the process.
