Peace That Holds

You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You in both inclination and character], because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation].

Isaiah 26:3

Peace is not the absence of pressure. It is the presence of focus. When your mind is fixed on everything uncertain, anxiety increases. But when your mind is anchored in God, peace becomes steady even when circumstances are not. Peace is sustained by where your attention rests. In very practical terms this means: You bring your thoughts back to truth when they begin to drift toward worry. You remind yourself of who God is instead of replaying what could go wrong. You choose trust over constant analysis. You return your focus to Him throughout the day instead of letting your mind run unchecked. Peace is not something you wait for. It is something you walk in as you keep your focus aligned.

Prayer

Father in Heaven, steady our minds and anchor our thoughts in You. When worry begins to rise, gently draw us back to truth. Teach us to trust You with what we cannot control and to rest in the peace You provide. Let our minds remain fixed on You so that peace becomes our steady place. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

Peace grows where focus stays anchored in truth.
