Hold Steady
Let us seize and hold tightly the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is reliable and trustworthy and faithful [to His word].
Hebrews 10:23
Not everything in life needs to be adjusted. Some things need to be held. Truth, hope, and conviction are meant to remain steady even when emotions shift. When everything around you feels uncertain, stability is not found in trying to control what is changing, but in anchoring yourself to what is unchanging. Feelings will rise and fall. Circumstances will move in directions you did not expect. But God does not shift with them. His character remains steady, His promises remain true, and His presence remains constant. Holding steady is not passive. It is a daily decision to return your trust to Him, to remind yourself of what is true, and to resist the pull of fear or doubt. Over time, this kind of steady trust forms a life that is not easily shaken. What you anchor yourself to determines how you stand, and when your anchor is God, your stability is not dependent on what is happening around you.
Prayer
Father in Heaven, help us hold tightly to what is true. When life feels uncertain, remind us that You are faithful and unchanging. Strengthen our trust so we remain steady and unwavering in every season. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!
What you hold onto shapes how you stand.
