Stay Teachable

The wise will hear and increase their learning, and the person of understanding will acquire wise counsel and the skill [to steer his course wisely and lead others to the truth].

Proverbs 1:5

Growth begins to slow the moment you believe you already know enough. A teachable spirit keeps your heart open, your mind humble, and your life moving forward. Wisdom is not found in pretending to have every answer. It is developed through listening, learning, and remaining willing to grow. God often teaches through people, experiences, correction, and even disappointment. When pride resists instruction, growth becomes difficult. But humility creates space for transformation. Staying teachable does not weaken you. It strengthens you because it keeps you responsive to truth and aware that there is always more to learn. The strongest people are rarely the ones who know everything. They are the ones still willing to listen.

Prayer

Father in Heaven, keep our hearts soft and teachable. Protect us from pride that resists wisdom and correction. Help us remain humble enough to learn, mature enough to grow, and wise enough to listen carefully when You are teaching us through the people and experiences around us. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

A teachable spirit keeps life moving forward.
