The Courage to Begin Again

For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again, but the wicked stumble in time of disaster and collapse.

Proverbs 24:16

Everyone faces moments where things do not go as planned. Mistakes happen. Progress stalls. Discouragement settles in. What matters most is not whether you ever fall short, but whether you are willing to rise again. Failure often becomes most dangerous when it convinces people to stop trying altogether. Yet God continually works through imperfect people who remain willing to keep growing. His mercy is not fragile, and His patience is not quickly exhausted. Beginning again requires humility, but it also reveals courage. It is the decision to learn instead of quitting, to adjust instead of collapse, and to trust that God still has purpose ahead of you. Setbacks may interrupt your progress, but they do not have to define your direction.

Prayer

Father in Heaven, give us courage to rise again when we feel discouraged or defeated. Remind us that Your mercy is greater than our failures and Your grace is still working within us. Help us move forward with humility, wisdom, and confidence that You are not finished with our story. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

Getting back up is part of growing stronger.
