Live With Margin
He said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a secluded place and rest a little while” for there were many [people who were continually] coming and going, and they could not even find time to eat.
Mark 6:31
A life without margin eventually loses clarity. Constant noise, constant movement, and constant urgency slowly drain your ability to think clearly, listen carefully, and live peacefully. Even Jesus made room for rest, quiet, and withdrawal from the demands around Him. Rest is not weakness. It is wisdom that recognizes your limits and honors the way God designed you. Without healthy margin, your reactions become sharper, your patience shorter, and your spirit more exhausted. Slowing down creates space to notice God again, to recover perspective, and to reconnect with what matters most. Rest does not remove responsibility. It restores your ability to carry it well.
Prayer
Father in Heaven, teach us to slow down before exhaustion becomes normal. Help us create healthy space for rest, reflection, and time with You. Restore clarity where we have become overwhelmed and renew our strength so we can live with peace, wisdom, and balance. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!
Healthy margin creates healthier living.
