What You Water Will Grow
He who diligently seeks good seeks favor and grace, but he who seeks evil, evil will come to him.
Proverbs 11:27
Your attention functions much like water on a garden. Whatever you continually feed begins to grow stronger within your life. If your focus constantly settles on negativity, resentment, fear, or comparison, those things slowly shape your outlook and responses. But when you intentionally pursue what is good, healthy, wise, and life giving, something different begins forming within you. God designed your heart to be shaped by what it repeatedly takes in. This is why guarding your focus matters so deeply. Small daily choices about what you dwell on, pursue, and nurture eventually become the atmosphere of your inner life. Over time, what you consistently water becomes what grows most visibly.
Prayer
Father in Heaven, help us become intentional about what we allow to grow within our hearts and minds. Teach us to pursue what is good, wise, and life giving instead of dwelling on what weakens our peace. Shape our focus so that our lives reflect the fruit of healthy and godly attention. In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!
What you continually feed will eventually grow.
