Overview

Selah is a devotional archive that imports selected devotional emails from Gmail, parses them into structured devotional entries, and displays those entries on the Selah website.

Google User Data We Access

Selah uses Google OAuth and the Gmail API with read-only access to retrieve email messages from the connected Gmail account. Selah uses this access only to find and read devotional emails from configured devotional senders or search criteria.

How We Use Google User Data

Selah uses the selected Gmail message content to extract devotional fields such as title, date, scripture, reference, reflection, prayer, and closing line. This information is stored in the Selah database so the devotional archive can be browsed and searched.

Storage And Sharing

Selah stores parsed devotional content and related metadata in its application database. Selah may share devotional content with service providers that are necessary to operate the application, including hosting, database, and search embedding providers. Selah does not sell Google user data, use Google user data for advertising, or share Google user data for unrelated purposes.

Data Protection

Selah takes reasonable steps to protect application data from unauthorized access. Access tokens and refresh tokens used to connect Gmail are stored as private application configuration and are not displayed publicly.

User Control

You can revoke Selah's access to your Google Account at any time from your Google Account permissions page. After access is revoked, Selah will no longer be able to import new devotional emails from Gmail.

Google API Limited Use

Selah's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
